Vigorous Exploitage of the Potential Tourist Resources of Guili n,the Famous Historic Cultural City

Guilin,the famous tourist city,is not only beautifu l in hills and waters,but also abundent in the tradition of historic culture.In 1 982,Guilin was listed in the first batch of Chinese famous historic cultural cit ies by the State Council of China.In the paper,the historic development of the c ity and plentiful historic relics of Guilin were presented in detail,and it was pointed out that Guilin should actively apply for the membership of “the World Heritage List”.The relationship between the protection of historic relics and t he exploitation of tourism should be well coordinated,the potential tourist reso urces of Guilin,the famous historic cultural city should be exploited vigorously and itineraries of Guilin will be more abundent and colourful.
