Abstract
In this paper a new-developed 1+2 MIXPC turbocharging system and its exhaust manifold are introduced. This system is used in 16VPA6STC medium speed marine diesel engine instead of MPC turbocharging system.Simulation and experimental results indicate that provided the design parameters of MIXPC system are well established, not only difference in exhaust gas temperature after cylinders can be kept within limits, but the exhaust gas temperature after cylinders and before turbine be lower, and at the same time the specific fuel consumption will be decreased.1+2 MIXPC turbocharging system used in 16VPA6STC diesel engine is successful.
