On the Prospects of Applications of Virtual Reality Technology in Tourism Planning

Abstract

Virtual reality is a new technology developed in recent years,Many applications have been made in various fields.In this paper,the concept and characteristics of Virtual Reality Technology are introduced.On the basis of these,the advantages of Virtual Reality Technology in tourism planning design are discussed and its construction and technological process are analyzed too.The authors believe that Virtual Reality Technology will provide a new philosophy and means for toursim planning design.Further more,the future application of Virtual Reality Technology in tourism planning design is also expected.
