Four-handed Nursing Technique In Root Canal Retreatment

Abstract

Objective To investigate the four-handed nursing technique in root canal retreatment.Methods Retrospective analysis were performed on 278 cases of root canal retreatment with the aid of four handed nursing technique.Results The total effective rate was 87.77%(244/278),in which the retreatment of resinified teeth was 85.44%(176/206),and retreatment of failure root canal treatment was 94.44%(68/72).The failure factors of root canal retreatment contained root canal obstruction,root canal deviation,root canal perforation and fractured instruments which can not be removed.Moreover,there was no case of accidental injury or medical complains and disputes which was caused by resosolve and desocclusol.Conclusion In the four-handed technique for root canal retreatment,nurses should be familiar with the operation procedure,the drugs used in the therapy,the performance of equipments and the precautions,which could provide basic security for the success of root canal retreatment.
