Abstract
Objective The purpose of this study was to discuss the CT perfusion features of peripheral lung carcinoma and the effects of histopathological types, size and T stage of lung carcinoma on CT perfusion values. Methods Sixty four patients with histopathologically proven peripheral lung carcinoma underwent helical CT perfusion between Oct.2008 and Oct.2010,perfusion value, peak enhancement(PE),time to peak(TTP),and blood volume(BV) were calculated. The effects of histopathological types, size and T stage of lung carcinoma on CT perfusion values were analyzed. Results Perfusion,PE,TTP,BV had no difference for small cell lung carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and squeous carcinoma(P0.05).Perfusion,PE and BV of lung carcinomas with size of ≤30mm were higher than those larger than 30mm(P0.05),while TTP of lung carcinomas with the size of larger than 30mm was longer than that of lung carcinomas with size of ≤30mm(P0.05).Perfusion,PE and BV of T1 stage lung carcinoma were higher than those of T2 stage lung carcinoma, while TTP of T1 stage lung carcinoma was longer than that of T2 stage lung carcinoma(P0.05).Perfusion,PE and BV of T3 stage lung carcinoma were higher than those of T2 stage lung carcinoma, while no difference was found for TTP between T2 and T3 stage lung carcinomas.CT perfusion values between T1 and T3,T1 and T4,T2 and T4,T3 and T4 had no statistical difference(all P0.05).Conclusions Helical CT perfusion can show hemodynamic changes of microcirculation of peripheral lung carcinoma;histopathological types, size and T stage can affect CT perfusion value.
