Research situation and development trend of CAD technology for modular machine tool

Abstract

The Computer Aided Design(CAD) of modular machine tool has already becoming an important branch of CAD area from the 1970s up to now.This paper proceeds with 4 researching aspects(modular machine tool CAD system,overall CAD technology,multi-spindle box CAD technology,fixture CAD technology) included in the CAD of modular machine tool,a review has been carried out on the development results of CAD related techniques for modular machine tool(mainly in recent 10 years) at home and abroad,and the problems with CAD technology of modular machine and its development trend have been pointed out.
