Abstract
Objective To study the different luting cements on shear band strength of zirconium ceramics to dentin.Methods Blocks of sintered zirconium ceramics were randomly divided into 4 groups with 6 slices in each.They were treated with SiO2 layer and then bonded to dentin with four kinds of luting cements: PanaviaTMF,Multilink Sprint,RelyXTM Luting and Fuji plus.After preserved in distilled-water for 24 hours,the shear bonding strength of these specimens was tested and the data were analyzed by SAS6.12 software package.Results The shear bonding strength in group of PanaviaTMF was the highest which was significantly different from that in group of RelyXTM Luting and group of Fuji plus(P0.01),while there was no statistical significance with that in Multilink Sprint group(P0.05).Conclusion Resin luting cement containing phosphate monomer(MDP) coupled with adequate surface treatment could obtain the best bonding effect.
