Abstract
In the poetry of Tang and Song dynasties ever appeared so many poems of Mansions, in which the image have relative abundant connotations. Especially, the definite and strong sadly-aesthetic-feeling is closely related to the artistic conception of drearily sad sense of A Dream of Red Mansions. So it can be well recognized that, the author Cao Xueqin combined his entire life experience with the understanding of the poetry of Tang and Song dynasties, and consciously put all kinds of ideas and aspirations reflected in the images of those poems into his artistic writing. In this way, the poetical atmosphere and style can be generated in the work A dream of Red Mansions more naturally.
