Contribution of Agricultural Production Factors Inputs to Agricultural Economic Growth in Xinjiang

To explore the relationship between agricultural economic growth and agricultural production factors inputs,the time serial data of agricultural economic growth and various input factors in Xinjiang during 1990-2011were analyzed by measurement model.Results:Effective irrigation area,rural fixed asset investment,chemical fertilizer amount and total agriculture spending have certain contribution to Xinjiang agricultural economic growth and the elasticity coefficients are 0.721,0.675,0.599and 0.418 respectively.However,the roles of the following six factors are not obvious,they are employee number in the first industry,the total power of agricultural machinery,electricity consumption in rural areas, pesticides usage,agricultural plastic film and agricultural diesel usage.Some policy proposals are also put forward to promote the agricultural economic development in Xinjiang.
