Abstract
This paper analyses the mechanisms of conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) associated with the typical alternator-rectifier system. The high-frequency model of the generator is established. The system is simplified by the resonant circuit including the dominant stray distributed parameters. The conducted EMI of the actual system is simulated using MATLAB package. The validity of the models is confirmed by comparison to the laboratory measurements.
