Abstract

Based on the method of reliability analysis, the laboratory test data of shear strength for engineering rock mass from dam area of Xiluodu hydroelectrically power are analyzed, and the shear strength of 5 different rock masses is calculated and determined. As a comparison, the results from reliability method are compared with traditional analysis methods. The result signifies that the reliability method is rational and effective.
