SIGNIFICANCE OF SKIN PRICE TEST FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CHILDREN ALLERGIC RHINITIS AND ITS RELATED DISEASES

[Objective]To probe the significance on Skin Prick Test for prevention and cure in children allergic rhinitis and correlated disease.[Methods]A retrospective study on clinical data was carried out among the 110 cases of children allergic rhinitis performing SPT during February in 2006 to February in 2007.[Results]The percentage of patients with positive skin tests were as follow:Dermatoph.pteronyssinus(62.73%),Dermatoph.farinae(57.27%),Blomia Tropicalis(34.55%),Blatella Germanica(12.73%),Canis Familiaris(Dog)(9.09%),Felis omesticus(Cat)(6.36%),Mould Mix I(4.55%),Pollens IV(Grass Mix)(4.55%),Mould Mix IV(1.82%),Artemisia Vulgaris(0.91%),Ambrosia Artemisifolia(0.91%). Among them,it was seen that 89.47% of allergic rhinitis children being with bronchial asthma,84% allergic rhinitis children with airway hypersensitive cough,77.8% allergic rhinitis children with conjunctivitis have positive SPT.[Conclusion]SPT have the characteristic of being safe,reliable,quick responding and effective. It can offer scientific evidence for prevention and cure in children allergic rhinitis and correlated disease.
