Telomerase activity in uterine tissue and the advance of cervical cancer.

Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between telomerase activity in uterine tissue.Methods:30 cases cervical cancer,72 cases cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and 16 cases normal control cervical fresh tissue were measured for telomerase activity using TRAP.Results:Telomerase activity was positive in 22 cases cervical cancer.21 cases CIN and 1case normal control(P0.01).The average of telomerase activity are 1.362±0.768,0.436±0.274和0.048±0.026(P0.01),respectively.Conclusion:The abnormal expression of telomerase activity is close associated with the advance of cervical cancer ,and the average of the telomerase activity was increased with the course of disease.
