Abstract

With the development of broadband technology and digital video technology, Video-on-Demand(VOD)systems have been obtained large-scale application and promotion. Application of video-on-demand has changed the relationship between users and cable television, and has expanded the sources of acquiring information for users. This paper discusses the on-demand technology, key technologies of VOD systems, the scope of application, and development directions.
