Abstract

The primary essense of Marxism is practical Materialism. The conception of practice is the unification of aims and means, of value and truth, and of revolutionary and scientific characteristics. Deng Xiaoping's notion of Emancipating the mindhas come from practical aims,value and revolutionary characteristics; and Seeking Truth from factsfrom practical regularity, truth and scientific characteristics. So the philosophic basis of Deng Xiaoping Theory is pratical Materialism.
