Abstract
【Objective】The plant resources in Shoucheng Natural Reserve of Guangxi were investigated, followed by statistics of their types, in order to provide references for their conservation and development. 【Method】The plant resources were investigated for Shoucheng Nature Reserve of Guangxi, and their statistics and classification were conducted based on plant list compiled. 【Result】There were 1104 species of fascicular plants in Shoucheng Natural Reserve, belonging to 544 genus of 171 families. Of which, angiosperm was the most abundant one being 938 species, 481 genus and 135 families,that accounted for 89.85%, 88.42% and 78.95%, respectively. The pteridophyte and grmnosperm were followed by being99 species, 57 genus in 31 families, and 7 species, 6 genus in 5 families, respectively. According to the economic purpose as resource-plant, all investigated plant resources could be classified into 13 categories and were as follows: 227 timber plants, 633 medicinal plants, 57 oil plants, 100 fiber plants, 53 starch plants, 39 berry plants, 63 fragrant plants,53 tannic plants, 67 drinking plants, 91 forage plants, 239 flower and ornamental plants, 44 water-soil conserving plants, and 33 rare and endangered plants. Among them, the medicinal plants were richer, which belonged to 377 genus and 139 families, accounting for 60.6% in total. 【Conclusion】The plant resource types are abundant in Shoucheng Natural Reserve of Guangxi and should be strengthened to conserve and could be exploited and utilized reasonably.
