Abstract
[Objective] To understand the community characteristics and variation rules of phytoplankton in Tiesha River.[Method] phytoplankton community structure of Tiesha River was investigated by conventional method of biology month to month in 2009.[Result] A total of 82 species and 8 divisions were identified in Tiesha River, and the most dominant algaes were Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta with a ratio of 41.46% and 35.37%,respectively.The density of phytoplankton ranged from 0.40×104 to 2.33×104 ind./L.During the investigation period, the highest density appeared in July and the lowest appeared in February. The average density of phytoplankton was 7.80×105 ind./L.Shannon-Wiener diversity index of phytoplankton is more than 2.[Conclusion] The results of this study would provide basic data for the further ecological research of Tiesha River, and a scientific basis for monitoring and evaluating water quality of the water source area.
