Abstract
In this article it discusses the possible paradox between effectiveness and virtue of teaching,which is based on the unilateral trend in research on effective teaching.And then it analyses the pedagogical meaning in the coherence between ends and means on the reference of YiShanZhiShan(the pursuit of virtue by moral means),a proposition which is from Confucianism and as important perspective on understanding the essence of virtue of teaching.The real representation of virtue of teachig may as well be achieved by the following ways such as the clearness of theoretical standpoint and overcome of cognitive misinterpretation,the diversion from scientific cognition to TiZhi(lived experience),and the transformation of ways of teaching which is manifestation of teachers' teaching responsibility.
