Eliot Carter is not only a great composer,but also an excellent chorus director and music.It is a fact that most of his works before 1948 are chorus music.In the composing of chorus music,he has formed his features based on the inheritance.The paper discusses the artistic features of his representative chorus works to display the versatile composing techniques and elegant demeanor.
