Clinical Analysis of 46 Cases of Gestational Trophoblastic Disease

Abstract

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD), and to explore the treatment for different stages of GTD.Methods:The clinical data of 46 cases of GTD from 2000.1～2007.6 in our hospital were retrospectively studied. The clinical characteristics, onset regularity, and mainly the clinical outcomes after chemotherapy or operation were analyzed.Results:Among 46 cases of GTD, 2 cases quitted for therapy, 44 cases were clinically cured by chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy combining proper operation. Among 11 cases of choriocarcinoma, 7 cases were totally cured (63.64%). Among 33 cases of invasive hydatidiform mole, 22 cases were totally cured (66.67%). Conclusions:Chemotherapy is the mainly way on treatment of GTD. The proper operation is necessary for rupture of metastatic tumor, unidentified diagnosis, and drug resistant cases.
