The Major Historical Evolution of the Japanese View of the East Asian Order since the 19th century

Abstract

In the past two centuries from the 19th century to the present,the Japanese view of the order in East Asia has undergone many changes along with the change of the situation of the world and Japan.The author's summary is three changes of the Japanese view of the East Asian order in this period,namely the Asian Doctrine,Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere and East Asian Community.The time span of the Asian Doctrine-Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere-East Asian Community is big,but they are closely related with each other and have the same basic thought: United Asia.But the Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere is a distortion of the Asian Doctrine.To understand the changes of the Japanese view of the order in East Asia and its essence will help East Asian countries take positive action in the establishment process of the Asian Community.
