Causes and solution of postoperative hernia recurrence after mesh plug tension-free inguinal hernioplasty

Abstract
Objective To analyze the causes and solution of hernia recurrence after mesh plug tension-free inguinal hernioplasty. Methods A retrospective analysis was made in 7 patients with recurrent hernia after mesh plug tension-free hernioplasty. The time of recurrence ranged from 7 days to 26 months. Results All 7 patients did not recurrent from 6 months to 2 years. Conclusion The main causes of hernia recurrence after mesh plug tension-free hernioplasty are related to age, operative techniques and materials.
