Brief Analysis on the History and Innovation of Chinese Figure Painting

During the Chinese drawing history,the figure painting came into being in Spring and Autumn Period.As one of the Chinese traditional picture branches,its history was the most remote.As far as its root is concerned,undoubtedly the Chinese figure painting has drawn the essence of China’s life philosophy,thus formed a national drawing form characterized by the basic goal of pursuing the meaning of life.This article takes the Chinese figure painting's development process as well as its philosophy connotation as a clue,subsequently further inquires about the Chinese figure painting’s survival and development as well as its innovative direction in the contemporary society.
