Abstract

Objective:To discuss the operation time and curative effect of fogarty catheter embolectomy in acute artery embolism. Methods:To retrospective analyse the clinical data of 46 cases with acute artery embolism treated with fogarty arterial embolectomy catheter in our hospital from April 2006 to February 2010.Results:46 cases received emergency operation,in which 42 cases recovered after the operation,2 cases were amputations resulting from ischemic necrosis of the feet after the operation and 2 cases died in perioperation. Conclusion:Early diagnosis and proper treatment are the keys to success in the treatment of acute artery embolism and saving the limbs.Using fagarty arterial embolectomy catheter combined with anticoagulants during and after the operation is the most effective treatment of acute artery embolism.
