Current Status and Solutions of Forest Trees Used as Firewood by Peasants in Jinchuan County,Sichuan

Along with the implementation of the national natural forest protection project,the cutting of commercial timber has totally stopped.But in Jinchuan County where so many farmers live,the amount of forest trees used for firewood by peasants is also much bigger.How to reduce the destruction that firewood consumption brings to natural forest is very important to the environment protection.On the basis of investigation on the current status of forest trees consumed as forewood by peasants in Jinchuan,this paper treats of the reasons why natural forest was excessively consumed,and proposes some suggestions for solving this problem,aiming to be able to find a way of reducing the peasants' consumption of forest trees.
