Abstract
Mizoribine, a derivative of mycophenolic acid, has demonstrated the potential for the use of this drug as a substitute of an immunosuppressive agent azathioprine for the rejection of organ grafts transplant, renal syndromes and systemic lupus erythematosus. This paper reviews the pharmacological mechanism, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapy and safety profile of mizoribine.
