Abstract
In order to estimate the value of the RAPD marker on the study of water buffalo population genetic diversity,as well as the genetic construction on Binglangjiang water buffalo population, the random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD) marker was used to analyze genetic variation of 20 Binglangjiang water buffaloes in this paper.Individual genome DNA was amplified with 15 polymorphism random primers which were screened from 70 random primers.105 bands were obtained,of which 95 bands were polymorphic, each primer had 7 bands on average and the fragment number is in between 2~12,frequencies of polymorphic bands is in between 40%~100%,the mean value of polymorphic loci was 90.48%. The results indicated that the genetic diversity of Binglangjiang water buffalo is rich.
