Abstract

In this paper, a φ40 mm distillation column is established. It is studied that the experiment of separating an azeotrope of methyl acetate and methanol by extractive distillation with water. The main factors that influence the extractive distillation are researched such as solvent ratio, reflux ratio, the temperature of raw material and solvent. We suggest that the solvent ratio be 2-3; the reslux ratio be 0.75-1.0; the temperature of feed liquid be at bubble point and the temperature of extractive agent be at normal temperature.
