Abstract
Based on the Newton fluid model,a model for the stress and speed distribution in the flow field near pins of pin barrel extruder and a calculating method for the energy consumption of pins were proposed by using equivalent viscosity method.It was found by the study on the energy consumption of pins during extrusion of NR/black compound that the relative error between the measured and calculated values was only 4%.
