Analysis on the Research Development of Patent Citation Evaluation in China

Patent citation evaluation is one of the research hotspots in current international field of information science.Through the scientometric analysis on domestic literatures of information science published in recent years, this paper finds that patent citation evaluation is an interdisciplinary research field, its theory and method are mainly based on the relevant knowledge of legal science, scienology, economics, management science and so on, the research institutions of patent citation evaluation in China include Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University, Dalian University of Technology and related institutes of CAS(Chinese Academy of Sciences), and the research topics are mainly distributed in the directions of the patent quality evaluation, the construction of patent value evaluation indexes, the discovery of technological innovation path, the formulation of patent strategy, the analysis and visualization of patent network, and the detection of science-technology linkage, etc.
