Abstract
The positioning of Marxist Philosophy is to expound the basic characteristics of Marxist Philosophy from the historic and synchronic dimensions. While the characteristics of modernity suggest that Marxist Philosophy belongs to the contemporary anthropological paradigm, which not only breaks with modern philosophy but also establishes possibilities of dialogue with contemporary philosophy, the characteristics of materialism, which refer to the Marxist Philosophy's recognition of the status of foundation and priority of material productive activities in the various forms of human activity, adopt a materialistic way of resolving issues of the theory of existence. This position is a starting point for further explanation and is significant for the development of Marxist Philosophy in the future.
