Abstract
In this paper, the effects of the distance between the LED chip and phosphor film on the luminous efficiency and the correlated color temperature(CCT) of the remote phosphor-converted white-LED are investigated.Under the condition of low electrical current injection, the white-LED shows a best luminous efficiency of 74 lm/W when the distance is 0.88 mm.At the same time, the CCT of white LED decreases linearly with the increasing distance. It is beneficial to obtain an optimal luminous efficiency under the first optical design of white LED.
