Abstract
Gauss transformation and the LU decomposition of matrices are basic comments in numerical linear algebra and play important and irreplaceable roles in solving small or medium-sized linear algebraic equations.Based on the personal experience in teaching numerical linear algebra, definitions and basic conclusions of Gauss transformation and the LU decomposition of matrices are introduced. In addition, three useful results are proved and illustrated by specific examples.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
