Gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To study the chemotherapy for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods Ten patients were treated by using gemcitabine plus oxaliplatin.Results The regime was found to be effective in 2 of the 10 cases.The toxicity was mild,mostly appeared as thrombocytopenia.Conclusion Gemcitabine-oxaliplatin combination therapy is a promising one for treating advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.
