Observation of curative effect of botulinum toxin A for treatment of facial wrinkles

OBJECTIVE To explore the maintain time,long-term effect of multiple injections,effect difference at different location and drug interaction of using BTX A for treatment of facial wrinkles.METHODS BTX A injection was given for 568 subjects with brow wrinkles,fish tail wrinkles and glabellar wrinkles,in which BTX A injection was given in 43 cases with lower eyelid wrinkles,35 cases with nasolabial furrow wrinkle.0.2 mL lidocaine hydrochloride in the injection was given in 4 cases with brow striae,fish tail striae and glabella wrinkles,and in 1 case of nasolabial furrow wrinkle.Among them 204 cases were given with the second injection,102 cases were given with the third injection,35 cases were given with the fourth injection.RESULTS The first injection effect maintained 6-9 months in 65.96% of brow wrinkles,fish tail wrinkles and glabellar wrinkles,in 51.16% of lower eyelid wrinkles,23.53% of nasolabial furrow wrinkles.The decreasing tendency of maintaining time was shown from the first injection,the second injection,the third injection to the forth injection.The effect was reduced in adding lidocaine hydrochloride in the injection.CONCLUSION The maintaining time of first injection with BTX A for treatment of facial wrinkles is 6-9 months;the effect of multiple injections is decreasing;the effect is reduced with adding lidocaine hydrochloride in the injection.
