Abstract
Ba(Zn0.3Co0.7)2Fe16O27 hexaferrite sample was prepared by the sol-gel method.The microstructure,electromagnetic properties and microwave absorbing behavior of the samples were characterized by XRD,SEM and network analyzer(Agilent 8722ET).It is found that the single phase of Ba(Zn0.3Co0.7)2Fe16O27 is formed at 1 250 ℃.The dielectric loss peak exhibits at 14 GHz,and magnetic loss appears at wide frequency range of 8~12 GHz and 15~17 GHz.The maximum reflection loss(RL) reaches about –23 dB at 15.3 GHz and RL is below –10 dB in the frequency range of 9~18 GHz when the thickness of microwave absorbing coating is 1.85 mm.Evidently,this ferrite has excellent microwave absorbing behavior.
