Key points on the application of concrete admixtures

Concrete admixtures have been broadly used in civil engineering. Meanwhile, some problems have exposed gradually. In this paper, the authors give some discussions on the reasonable value of the alkali content in concrete admixtures;energy save concerned with the application of concrete admixtures;the effect and principles of properly air entraining to concrete;the adaptability of admixtures to active mineral materials;problems relating to the application of expansive admixtures.In addition,the authors forecast the development direaction of concrete admixtures.
