【Objective】 An experiment was conducted to study the effects of sodium butyrate replacing antibiotics in diet on production performance and immune organ index of white broilers.【Method】234 one-day- old AA broilers were randomized into two control groups and four trial groups with 3 replicates per group and 13 chickens per replicate.The positive control group was fed with diet supplemented with antibiotics(0.03%Nosiheptide + 0.025%Colistin sulfate premix).The negative control group was fed with basal diet.Broilers in the trial group Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ were fed with diet supplemented with 0.25%,0.5%,and 0.75%Sodium butyrate.【Result】The average weight of 42-day-old chicken in each group were 2.32 kg,2.43 kg,2.20 kg,2.30 kg,2.31 kg respectively,and there was no significant difference(P 0.05).The feed /gain ratio of the whole period were 1.67,1.62,1.69,1.67 and 1.64 respectively,and there were no significant difference(P 0.05) among other groups.Compared with that of the positive control group,there was no significant difference(P 0.05) on immune organ indexes of white broilers in each group.【Conclusion】 It showed that using substituted antibiotic feed additive of 0.5%sodium butyrate is suitable in the diet of white broilers from the evaluation of 42 d production performance and immune organ index of the broilers.
