The article is a summary of compiling Volumes of Literature in song Liao Jin and Yuan Dynasties, China Canan, in which the author has discussed four issues: first, the process of compiling thevolumes; second, the estimation of the quality of the volumes; third, the measures adopted to assure theprogress of compiling the volumes; fourth, some tentative ideas for some follow-up work of the volumes.
