Abstract

The optimum conditions of ultrasound-assisted extraction for seabuckthorn seed oil were determined by the(single-factor) experiment and the response surface analysis. The effects of different solvents, amount of extraction, extraction time, repeats and ultrasonic power were explored. The results show that the optimum extraction conditions were that petroleum ether as the best extraction solvent, ultrasonic power 800 W,extraction time 17 minutes and the liquid/solid ratio of 9 to 1.Under these conditions, the extraction rate for the crude seed oil of seabuckthorn reached 9.27%.The proportion of vitamin E by ultrasound-assisted extraction was 25% higher than that by the traditional process.
