Abstract

The research on the increasing trend of the fresh and dry weight of overwintering spinachTangshan Daye grown in east Hebei province had been conducted from 2000 to 2002 The result showed that the fresh weight and dry weight increased with the growth of the plants Fresh and dry weight of the plants mainly increased in the period from March 2nd to April 10th, which were 825% and 6506% respectively of the total growth value Between December 12 th and March 21st, the dry matter was mainly distributed in the green leaves, which accounted on from 8371% to 9236% of the plant's dry weight in the same period; while that contained in roots was only from 764% to 1629%After March 21st, the distribution of dry matter rate of plants from green leaves to roots decreased apparently But during harvest time, the distribution of dry matter happened most in green leaves, then in stems, and least in roots and withered yellow leaves The percentage of total dry weight was 6345%, 1844%, 1038% and 773% respectively
