Abstract
There are much usage of the word you(有),one of which is very special.It can be used before some nouns such as the dynasty,the kingdom,the minority or the surname,for example,youzhou(有周),youdi(有狄),youxiongshi(有熊氏).some people think that it is a prefix,some people think that it means guo(国),even some people think that it is a verb.The usage may be clearer if being researched by its sound,its meaning and pertinent literratural data.
