Abstract
The experimental conditions of decoloration disposal for printing and dyeing waste water with Cr~(3+) and litmusless dyes are optimized utilizing chitosan (CTS) with 70% acetyl removed, aluminum sulphate or polyaluminum chloride for flocculation. The experience using CTS in printing and dyeing wastewater-processing project was obtained. The results show that CTS has an analogical flocculation efficiency with aluminum sulphate and polyaluminum chloride (PAC). In our experience, the same efficiency is obtained with less CTS, the dosage of CTS is 10 mg/L.Furhermore, CTS is an innocuous, decomposable and nonpolluting natural macromolecule.
