Abstract
Objective: To study the relationship between the levels of serum fibrosis marks hyaluronic acid(HA),procollagen typeⅢ (PCⅢ),collagen type Ⅳ(CⅣ) and the degree of hepatic fibrosis, and the clinical significance of HA,PCⅢ,CⅣ in the diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis to chronic viral hepatitis. Methods: The concentrations of serum HA,PCⅣ in 643 patients with chronic viral hepatitis were measured by radioimmunoassay. Results: The levels of serum HA,PCⅢ,CⅣ were all increased steadily with the progression of hepatic fibrosis.HA is one of practical diagnostic value among the 3 serum markers investigated. Conclusion: The levels of serum HA,PCⅢ,CⅣ are in concert with the degree of hepatic fibrosis, and the determination these marks may be valuable for diagnosing hepatic fibrosis.
