Abstract

High-gravity fermentation technology of ethanol produced with filtrate of hydrolysed cassava and cassava powder was studied.Cassava was liquefied with α-amylase was and filtration.Effects of ratios of solid to liquid ratio, treating time,pH value and amount of enzyme application on yield of hydrolysed cassava were investigated.Fluidity and effect of fermentation during ethanol fermentation with filtrate of hydrolysed cassava and cassava powder was evaluated. The results indicated that yield of liquefaction of cassava was 85.10% under the optimum conditions, which were pH value 6.2,ratios of solid to liquid by 1∶11,incubation 75min under the temperature above 90℃ with addition of enzyme at 15U/g.Concentration of ethanol in fermented broth reached 15.0%vol,when total sugar content of cassava broth was adjusted to 25.5%(w/v).Conclusion: fluidity of broth increased by 50% when prepare with filtrate of hydrolysed cassava and Cassava powder, which could assure ethanol high-gravity fermentation.
