Abstract

Objective To discuss the long-term clinical value of Bronchial Artery Embolization in hemoptysis. Methods 1124 patients with hemoptysis which diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis were treated by Bronchial Artery Embolization. Those were closely observed the occurrences of complication and followed up 18 months to 96 months evaluate the efficacy after operation, the average period is(60±8)months,and to observe the difference ending. Results 1124 cases with hemoptysis were embolized. The results are as follows: the instant homostasis rate was 100%,the recurrence rate was 5.1% in the middle or long-term,and no significant complication related to embolization were observed except that 2 patients marrow were injured. Conclusion In the operation of BAE,bronchial embolization is an effective way to improve the curative effect and to lower the recurrence rate of hemoptysis,on the premise that we could avoid the significant complications successfully.
