Abstract
Objective:To study the effect and mechanism of Herceptin on the growth of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cell lines with HER-2/neu gene overexpression. Methods:The effect of Herceptin on the growth of NPC CNE-2Z and CNE-2 cell lines in vitro was tested by MTT and ~3H-TdR incorporation, and the effect of the cell growth and cell cycle and apoptosis on NPC CNE-2Z cell line was assayed by flow cytometer. Results:Herceptin could inhibit the growth of CNE-2Z cell line, and induce cell apoptosis index to increase. Conclusion:Herceptin inhibited the growth of CNE-2Z cell lines with HER-2/neu gene overexpression, and induced cell (apoptosis.)
