Abstract
Based on the studies of Au, S and Si from tens of endogenetic gold deposits in Hebei province, it is considered that gold, derived form the deeper Earth, was moved upward with the upwelling of mantle plume. Large scale granitic magma during Mesozoic was the major carrier for gold. The mineralizing characters concerned with shearing zones, principal detachment zones and secondary detachment zones within covers were discussed on the basis of mantle plume tectonics. Some proposals were suggested as references for ore prospecting in these areas.
