Protection and construction for ethnic cultural and ecological villages in Yunnan Province

numerous traditional ethnic villages and buildings, with their diversified features and rich historical cultures, have reflected both the physical and spiritual civilization of local society at the grass-root level. These villages are not only the active components of social structure, but also a linking media among the nature,environment and human culture. Associated with the project The Initial Research on Construction for the Ethnic Cultural in Ecological Villages in Yunnan Province funded by the American Ford Foundation, this article shall expatiate the author's consideration on how to preserve and develop the local cultural traits while the excellent traditional cultures can be inherited; and how to realize sustainable development of the ecological and cultural environment for traditional ethnic villages, meanwhile, to upgrade the quality and standard of life constantly. following are some of my knowledge, experiences as well as initial individual supposition on potential construction projects for the preservation of ethnic cultural Eco-villages.
