Abstract
With the help of the interior ballistics theory of potential equilibrium, the relationship between the experimental data of the closed vessel and interior ballistics parameters of measured propellant and standard propellant was established to get the muzzle velocity and maximum pressure of the measured propellant. The signal-base XSX-1 and double-base XNX-1 type of variable-burning rate propellant were used as the standard propellant respectively to predict the interior ballistics parameters of their type through the interior ballistics parameters of standard propellant. The results show that it is practicable to predict the muzzle velocity and maximum pressure accurately by using the theory of potential equilibrium; the results can show the shape and formula of the variable-burning rate propellant have effects on the interior ballistics parameters.
